PROPs Drama Workshop

Apparently Elizabeth was one of two drama students in charge of yesterday's day-long drama camp for elementary students. I didn't know this until Friday when an elementary mom mentioned it to me. When she came home from her long day, I found out more. She and her friend Jordan, both members of the drama club at school called PROP (Performers Realizing Our Purpose), each wrote and directed a short Christmas play for the kids. At the end of the day, the kids performed it for their parents. Elizabeth's was based on High School Musical.

I wish she had told us the whole extent of it. We would have loved to have come see the play, the culmination of her creativity and leadership. Instead, I'll track down one of the myriad elementary parents who caught the performance on video. I'm so proud of her! This is a huge task in the midst of all her other things and she apparently did well on both the writing and the directing of the kids. It's always good when she can channel her drama queen tendencies into something productive.
