Our poor middle school team! They were pumped for their game against our biggest rival school this afternoon. But all the excitement fizzled as they took the field against a bunch of sixth graders and a couple of eighth graders who'd never played football before. It was pitiful, one of those games where you feel bad clapping for your team. We managed to stretch it into the 3rd quarter before we 45'd them, but they didn't make it easy! Even our little 7th graders made big plays against these guys!
Nathan did well. He had two good runs from scrimmage, threw 2 touchdown passes, caught an extra point conversion, and made a couple of good blocks and tackles.
Sorry, no pictures, though. The sun blinded us most of the game. Not very conducive to picture-taking.
I'm off to my writers' conference on Thursday, so I'll report about the JV and Varsity games next week after I get home and hear all about them!
